Sweet Summertime
Ahhhh, summertime! What we would we do without it? More and more frequently I am coming to terms with the fact that this may be one of the last summers that I will be able to actually enjoy. As my studies continue, I am becoming more aware that time is money, and unfortunately I believe this means that summer vacation is not always an option for the succesful.Ughhh, okay, well, enough with the heavy! Today was my first day back to the beach after the longest fall, winter and spring I have ever lived through. Can you believe it? I made it through! Who would've thought? Haha! The constant sounds of the waves on shore and the feeling of sand sifting through my toes have never felt so rewarding! One thing I could have done without was the mini tidal wave that made its way all the way up to the towel I was laying on (I was happily asleep I may add). The beach is something that I will never take for granted, that's for sure. It's just amazing the way every thought, every last problem is forgotten once you get there. I mean, it's like a godsent that our cell phones get no service on the beach, I know god had a reason for making it that way. It's funny how I have been able to find the ironies in the ways god tells us things these days. It brings me that much closer to knowing he's up there.

First Post!
Wow, so this is it...my first post on Lady Bug Stories!!! Well, I figure I should tell you a little bit about my own life and how it led me to where I am now.I'm eighteen years old, and I was born and raised on Long Island, New York, and now reside in Oswego, New York. Living on Long Island has certainly helped to shape the person I am today, from my accent to my impatience with the cashier at the Wendy's down the block when my order is taking more than five minutes to prepare ( I'm sure a lot of long islanders can relate to this feeling. Haha!). Of course, living on the island has helped me to grow quite fond of the Fire Island beach, it's one of my favorite places in the world! Perhaps the very reason I decided to study here at SUNY Oswego. SUNY Oswego is a beautiful place nestled on the shores of lake Ontario. The waves role in and out and at night, when I open my windows I can hear them, and for a minute I'm back on the island with my family and friends, watching the waves roll from the boat dock. and the sunsets here, fuhgeddaboutit--they're amazing!!But anyways, you may be wondering why I decided to create this little masterpeice I called Lady Bug stories.Well here's why: Life is hard, and we all have to get through it somehow, right? Well, these Lady Bug Stories are stories of obstacles I am facing in my life and the ways I deal with them. They are stories of tragedy, hope, love, fear, ambitions, endurance and everything in between. Lady Bug Stories are most importantly my stories, and I'm inviting you in on my life!!
